1964 - This is the earliest skateboard article I have ever seen. Coming from Popular Mechanics magazine in 1964, I loved the read. Even more then that I loved the fact the skateboarding was fun even back in 1964. Given all the commercialism, greed, attitude, and lameness that can creep into everyones skateboarding existence, having fun is still at the heart of skateboarding 46 years later....
