Shred Fest at the Pink Motel 2021
Pink coping and blue skies graced the first ever Shred Fest!
Sounds of Tomorrow’s Bad Seeds sparked the tempo! Local-vagrants and mini rippers worked out lines. The Urethane took the stage pumping aggression into the air and ear canals. The ladies showed and represented, taking slams in the shallow with the crappy starter ramp. Olympic Gold medalist Kisa Nakamura graciously signed autographs & took photos while Ruby Lilley, and Jessie Frietze aired off the coping. Eric Grisham stoked all who knows, Eric D slashed with speed, Schroeder cracked the Crete, Scott Foss flowed like butter, Jim Gray christened the pool with blood, Cab slide-n-rolled endless blocks and Christian strutted into the jam like a rooster while whispers could be heard “it’s Hosoi”!

The stoke was rising hard as the Powell team blazed in with Kiko’s lipslides, AJ Nelson stalling and back scratching inverts to heavy awe’s, Hericules busting frontside kickflip stales with every grind variation. Stocktonslayer was a crowd favorite with air disasters as Andy Roy hollered in the mic for “more bodies in the deep!”…but Flesh and blood mixed with Pool dust by many added to the Tripp when he slipped on coping into a scorpion down the trannies, Ciaque from Brazil hung up on a face wall blemish, kickflip fakie was jarring but he got back up and killed it, the revert nail biter was directed mostly by Willy Lara and a back nose blunt revert into the sand paper transition made everybody scream with elation. The crowed roared and slammed to the sounds of Strung Out.
By 9pm the bleachers, fences, port-a-potties, and the last cigarette bud was nowhere to be found. It was a neon dream at the infamous Pink Motel Property!
