Deathbox Small Logo Deck
Deathbox Skateboards
Take a look at this new TumYeto venture. The older generation of serious pool rippers are back on the scene and cranking out an awesome product. With a slight deviation from today’s standard 7.5″ wide, oval shaped boards Deathbox offers a little variety. The test model happens to be the Logo 1, weighing in at 8 1/2 x 32 1/4 inches. Take a look at the shape and you will notice a more squared off tail and a less tapered, pudgier nose. This slight deflection in shape offers the old schooler a little taste of the past with the functionality and agility of other marketable decks. Not just the shape has been altered…a slightly longer wheelbase makes for a more comfortable, relaxed and less twitchy ride, making it perfect for larger trannies. It may just be my imagination, but the tail also seemed to have less of a kick. That could just be the result of my foot actually having contact with the board and not hanging off all ape-like…don’t really know. I took it for a test ride in the new Fontana clover and was more than pleased. To my surprise it felt as comfortable and responsive in the shallows as it did in the deep end.

This product line is targeted at the old school shredders and I can highly recommend Deathbox to those who are getting back into riding. These boards meld the past with the present in a way that is not only functional but very, very comfortable. Check them out at www.deathbox.com and hook yourself up with a little history. The team riders are true legends in ways that Tony Hawk will never be.
