Eliminator Skateboards: Rabies Decks
first time I actually paid for something to review.
A good point to argue about product reviews, is their true validity. I mean come on some company emails you their catalog, and goes you can have whatever you want, oh and by the way I love your site so much; I visit it everyday. However this review marks a new milestone in my pathetic product review career. It is the first time I actually paid for something to review. Shelling out cold hard cash that you don’t really have anyways to do a job doesn’t sound to appealing, but since I love writing product reviews that no one really reads, and I was really stoked on the company I agreed.
This board measures at 8.5 by 32.5, and was made in the ABC factory which is run by Jim Gray and is top quality wood. The concave on this board runs in the mid to deep category which has a really great feel to it, and helps your feet grip the board a little better also. The “shovel nose” on this board has a unique shape to help it stand out in the crowd without sacrificing any function. The deck still feels strong and stiff even after weeks of abuse and hasn’t shown any signs of weakening or flattening out. The board is also very lightweight and felt great in all situations from pools, ramps, skateparks, bombing a hill, and everything in between.
A lot of designing and testing went into this board, and wasn’t made until they knew exactly what they wanted. If anyone is looking for a quality board I highly recommend getting this. It was designed by Rabies guitarist Josh Landau who is a ripping pool skater, and has been playing shows with Rabies for a long time now; who have played everywhere from backyards, contests, skateparks, and clubs helping out both the punk and skate scene. These guys are passionate about skating and music, and do not cut corners or settle for less in anything they make. If you have a second check out their myspace and get a t-shirt, cd, deck, or just listen to some awesome music.
