CONS – Filming Skate Videos
TGIF! Today Converse CONS just opened registration for the second installment of CONS Project – its series of free, community-based interactive skate and art workshops for young adults. “Filming Skate Videos” will take place in New York, Boston, Los Angeles and Toronto on Oct 4 and Oct 18. Registration is open at: http://consproject.com
Aimed at aspirating filmmakers, directors, and producers between the ages of 13-24, “Filming Skate Videos” will teach participants the skills of filming and editing skate video content through the use of smartphone technology with the help of famed underground skate director, Josh Stewart in New York; worldwide skateboarders and documentary filmmakers, Mike Gilbert and Ewan Bowman in Los Angeles and Boston; and acclaimed filmmakers, Nick Genova and Rob Lane in Toronto. Renowned professional skaters – as well as CONS Skate Team members and Friends of CONS alike – such as Steve Brandi, Eli Reed, Kevin Coakley, Tom Remilard, Kenny Anderson, and Don “Nuge” Nguyenwill also be on-hand to work with directors and filmmakers in each city to offer a glimpse into the ever-evolving skate film industry.
The anticipated follow-up to this summer’s “Building Skate Structures,” “Filming Skate Videos” is the second of five workshops in the CONS Project series, with three more slated to launch over the next seven months.
