Heart of the Rockies Rampage – Salida CO. – June 16-17

World Cup Skateboarding and Friends of Salida Skateparks invite you to the first annual Heart of the Rockies Rampage Bowl Competition, June 16th & 17th, 2022. Located in the beautiful mountain town of Salida, this inaugural event will take place at the recently completed new Salida Skatepark. Built by Grindline Skateparks, the park features a world class bowl, smaller flow bowl, and street features. Pro skater Derek Scott is helping bring the event to his hometown. “I’ve always wanted to host a world class skate competition in my hometown of Salida, and I’m thrilled to be partnering with World Cup Skateboarding. We have a total prize purse of $10,000. This contest is also going to be part of the FIBArk lineup of events, which is our annual river festival. Those of you visiting Salida for the first time are in for a good time!”

Friends of Salida Skateparks is a volunteer group comprised of local skaters and community members who have worked tirelessly the past several years to get a new park built in Salida. Derek, along with skaters Shea Donavan and Ryder Reed helped spearhead the new park project. Their goal was to build a skatepark in their hometown that was designed for hosting world class skate events, with the first being Heart of the Rockies Rampage. The event will kick-off with a Bowl Bash skate demo at the iconic downtown Salida Skatepark Thursday evening, June 16th with an after party at the 146 Taphouse.
