Malibu Chili Cook Off – Skate Jam 2023
We rolled up to the contest just as it was beginning. I loved that this event was held at the Malibu Chili Cook-off / fair amongst the carnival rides. Thousands of spectators carousing the area. There was a rad positive vibe all around. Even the kids were ripping in the contest. Like Joey Yarborough with a sick frontside blunt. So much rad skateboarding happened. Like a fakie flip over the spine or a f/s blunt on the handrail to disaster. Even a 540 over the spine. I feel most participants there brought their A game. It was worth the 2 hour detour Eric and I took to get there and would recommend this contest to anyone who can make it.
