R.I.P. 1978 - 1983 Pomona Pipe & Pool was a great skatepark that had just about everything a skater could ask for. Inspired by the backyard pool craze of the '70s, the owners built the "L Pool" that was very similar to a high school plunge with its massive shallow end and steps. PP&P also had a keyhole and capsule with tile and coping, a plexiglas ramp and three killer snake runs. The icing on the cake was the long cement half pipe that saw some serious ripping right when the trick revolution hit in '80 and '81. - Nash
