This was the first skatepark I ever skated. I think it was 81-83. There was glass everywhere with lines and path ways here and there. 4 old school snake runs. 1 ended with a hard left bank that would face you as you came to the end of the run (my favorite) bust'n big street ramp style air out of the bank. The other 3 ended in bowls with no coping like Yuba's bowls. The last bowl on the end, the big one, had home made vert. They had built a wall around the bowl and filled in trannie on the inside. The location was super ghetto if you don't know Berdo Baseline is like Hollywood Blvd. with out the glitz an good looking lady's just lots of tweekers and gangsters. The worst was septic sludge that was contained within the 2 smaller bowls, shopping carts, cars etc. floating in black green liquid. We rode that park about twenty times before the just got sick of look at it and dragging injured rats out of there. They just bulled it under, I think the field is still there, its behind a high school

Skater Crater was my hometown park, along with the Ranch in Colton. Your description is pretty spot on. It looks like your pictures are from a little later than 1982. If I had to guess, I'd say about 85. I skated it regularly in about 83,84 and it was still in relatively decent shape when we would siphon the swamp water from the pools. It had a good size parking lot next to it also. The high school in back of it behind the wash was San Gorgonio.
San Bernardino was not that bad of a city in the 80's. Still had an Air Force base and numerous blue collar jobs paying taxes. Because of the mountains surrounding it, there were numerous concrete drainage ditches to skate. Fun place to grow up. The pictures are great! Good memories.
