One of a pair of spiritual twin parks in the St. Petersburg area.
Rollin' Waves and Earthin' Surfin': Serving the same metro region, sharing similarly kooky apostrophe-shortened names, being built and subsequently destroyed within months of one another.
Rollin' Waves was a park designed and built by skaters themselves. The Evensen brothers reportedly did most of their own digging and pouring to save money. It had six main features: the beginner's run, an S-shaped snake run, the main snake with 4 turns, a 20 foot halfpipe, a bowl with 3 vert walls, and a flat freestyle area.
