The first park from the "skatepark business" boom of the late 70's
Skateboard City (also known as "SkatBoard City") was a 480-foot long, mostly figure eight-shaped track built by the same construction company that built pools for Disneyworld. This for-profit venture was run by three real estate developers from Ormond Beach and their total construction cost was approximately $75,000.
The center of the course was a 14 feet high mound that dropped either directly into the huge combination bowl/mogul/freestyle area with five foot banked walls, or into a 160-foot long run with a ten-foot banked turn.
