Fiberglass park installed in a former car dealership
Fyber Ryder featured the full range of International Sports and Recreation fiberglass ramps: the 22-foot fullpipe, the freestyle area, multiple mogul runs, half pipes, and miniramps. The majority of the park was located outside, but some features were inside of the showroom, allowing for cold weather/winter riding.
The park was owned and managed by Joe DiCroce, who also served as president of the US Amateur Skateboarding Association. Fyber Ryder closed in 1979, and Variflex pro Jeff Jones ended up purchasing a large number of the ramps and turned them into a private park that lasted through the 80s.
