The first skatepark to sport the Wizard brand

Wizard Skatepark Management Inc. was run by retired Army Lt. Colonel Nelson Livingston Burton (1934-2004).  Burton earned both the Bronze star and the Purple Heart after serving in both Korea and Vietnam. His wife and six children were all involved with the business.

This park was unique for the brand because it was financed and run with Burton’s own money.  All the other Wizard parks (Raleigh, Dunn, Fayetteville, Florence, Hooksett, Dallas) were funded by private investors.
