The first park in the Washington DC area, immortalized on the cover of Skateboarder (Vol 4. Issue 4)
A small and densely-packed park, FreeStyle (or Free Style) was emblematic of the era in which it was built. There was no vert and no coping, and it utilized the familiar design with a central hill that dumped into two runs: a steeper one, and a mellower one. The steeper side had 9.5 feet high walls at its largest and between a 65-70% slope. The two runs terminated at the bottom of the rectangular park, where the entry booth and central staircase were located.
