The city of Cleveland itself did not have any skateparks in the 70's, yet the western suburb of Elyria had two. Hi-Rollers was the second.
Developers Frank Rybarcyk and Harold Hune built the park for $280,000, and it included beginners’ and Intermediate slalom areas, a freestyle area, horseshoe bowl, beginner’s bowl, and a 20-foot Firestone lexan halfpipe.
