Text from 1977 promo flyer:
"Completely enclosed in an all-weather facility with ample parking in the rear, Zero Gravity Skateboard Park features a giant half-tube (75' long, 30' in diameter, and 20' high on each side) which offers excitement and challenge to beginner and advanced skaters alike. Numerous banks and ramps, a dual slalom area and banked freestyle area are also actively in use by skaters of all ability levels. The Park offers a complete pro shop, snack area, and bleachers for spectators."
The park was only open until 1978, and owner Bill Keene cited a not-often-heard reason for its closure:
"I think the closing was in 1978 because that was the year that oil (including heating fuel) was the most expensive. Zero Gravity was in a 20,000 square foot space with 20 foot high ceiling. The cost of heating ended up as the prime reason we had to close."
