Review Detail
4.0 1The Nimes skatepark is another park definitely worth hitting. In addition to a gigantic street course which ,luckily, seems to attract the usual scooter kids, it has a good tranny section, starting with a mini/medium snake run deal which wraps around two deeper bowls separated by a hump which I found a little hard on my knees. The deep end is around 8-9 feet and has solid vert, pool coping and 3 round corners, combi-pool style. in fact, the bowl area was good enough to have a pro contest in 2014 which Pedro Barros won. Lots of lines and transfers all around.(see video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3A7HW5g8QU)
There's a water fountain and lots of parking space.Like in most French parks, it's important to bring a broom as you never know what could stop your speed lines. There seems to be a slight problem when it rains as the drain gets clogged really quickly, resulting in lots of water in the bowls. In order to empty it you may have to remove said drain lock, which means having to walk through the water.
Don't miss this park.
