Directions
Take I-8 to exit 2 (US 95/16th Street exit). Turn west on E. 16th St, go 4/10 mile to Arizona Ave, and turn left (south). Go 1 mile to E. 24th St, and turn left (east). Go 4/10 mile, and turn left again (north) onto S. Kennedy Lane. Kenny Lane dead-ends at a parking lot; the skatepark is at the far northeast corner of the lot.

Kennedy Skatepark has seen some major changes/improvements since the last round of photos were taken. The grass infield has been completely filled in with a mellow ditch that is a lot more fun than it looks, and is a really creative use of space. It's uniquely suited to skaters of all ages and abilities; newbies can learn the basics of carving a downhill grade and working angled walls, while more savvy street kids can do flip tricks in and out of it. The bowl, the quaterpipe-pyramid (at the bottom of the ditch), and the half pyramid are as sketchy as ever, but the bench, stairs, and hubba are pretty legit. There's another new concrete slab on the far north end of the skatepark that features a pretty solid 4' high x 16' wide Skatelite-covered mini ramp, and even more boxes and rails. There's also a narrow, steel-surfaced mini ramp, and a couple of prefab steel/skatelite obstacles littered around; this place has clearly been built in stages, with a mishmash of design elements and obstacle builders. There's also a great little skate shop just down the street: Bordertown Skateshop at 102 W 24th St, Yuma, AZ 85364, (928) 726-1357. Check it out while you're there. This park was surprisingly well worth the drive from Phoenix to skate it; I spent two sweltering days this summer, back-to-back, having a blast, it was that fun! I'm actually looking forward to doing it again this summer. -Bud Stratford, Everything Skateboarding/Concrete Disciples, February 4th, 2018 ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

This place isn't even a skatepark, its a trail. There is a pyramid that is too steep to skate and a rectangle bowl the has rounded angle iron for coping.
