Located within the Civic Center Park is a 25,000 sq. ft. skate park. Construction for the skate park began in the spring of 2000 and was open to the public in the fall of 2001. The Park is made of concrete and is completely outdoors. The Skate Park was an overnight success and continues to attract hundreds of visitors of all ages and abilities daily. The Skate Park is open as soon as the snow melts and closes with the first snow, approximately November 15th, every year. Everyone is welcome and no fee is charged to visit the Civic Center Skate Park at this time.

This is my local park, I honestly have no problems finding new things to try when I go back to it. For the size and line options, it is one of the best parks with the perfect mix of street and transition in and around the Leelanau Peninsula.

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST PARKS IN THE AREA. THE OTHER ONE IS IN GAYLORD. NOT TO FAR FROM THIS PARK..
