Lower East Side/Manhattan Bridge/Coleman Oval Skatepark

One of New York's best parks right under the Manhattan Bridge in Coleman Square Park, featuring unique street features surrounded by medium-size transition features. The skatepark has received a complete makeover thanks to a collaboration of community skate advocate Steve Rodriguez (5boro Skateboards), Preeti Sodhi a Design Fellow with Architecture for Humanity, a Nike Game changers grant, The NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, community members, Site Design Group and California Skateparks. This new skate park was designed and built specifically to suit the unique character and demographic mix of the surrounding neighborhood. This unique skate park is located under the Manhattan bridge.
