The park just opened two weeks ago (Oct. 22, 2001) and consists of two big fun boxes in the middle, a large radius 4' tall u-bowl on the west end, a vert corner next to a really cool sloping coping corner in the Northeast area, and three connected bowls ranging height from about 5' to 7' to a nice big 10' mega bowl that is good and square with lots of flat bottom in the Southeast corner of the park. Square footage is approx. 10,000. Workmanship is great, with perfect coping everywhere and all concrete is sssmmoooooottthh. I think it is another beautiful park by Red and the boys. Watch out for little kids and flying BMX'ers, somebody on a bike came out of nowhere when I was dropping in and gave me a good shiner when I was there.

The park is 10,000 Square feet and was built by Upper Valley Builders of Myrtle Point (541 572 2745). The design evoloved from the collaboration of the skaters of Myrtle Point, the City Manager (Bud Schmidt), Crow Clay & Assocites Inc Architects and Eric Dawkins (Great American Skateparks). - Hillary Baker
